Multiple nurses & and child life specialists feel that the donations help tremendously with distraction during procedures such as port accessing, IV placement and many more. The electronics provide hours of entertainment for patients receiving long infusions in our clinic as well as inpatient areas. Siblings also benefit as the entertainment helps them cope too. The gaming systems encourage cooperative play among patients/siblings and socialization between different age groups.
