It’s no secret that the gaming community is the heart and soul of Child’s Play. The efforts of individuals and groups to raise funds and awareness for Child’s Play is incredible. Just take a look at our Events calendar and you’ll see what I mean: people from all walks of life, all different types of games and geekery, coming together to help out some kids when they need it most.

[…]Child’s Play is pleased to invite the game industry and community to our Third Annual Child’s Play Invitational Golf Tournament! We’re mixing things up a bit this year and hosting the tournament close to home – at Inglewood Golf Club in Kenmore, WA. It’s a beautiful course, and we’re excited for another year of competition, fun, and raising some money for the kids.

From our own events to a record number of community-run fundraisers (many of which were featured on our new website calendar), we as a group were able to raise an astonishing amount to benefit kids in hospitals, clinics, and domestic violence shelters worldwide. But each and every
2012 is drawing quickly to a close and it's been an incredible year - with four days left, the gaming community has picked up even more steam and raised $4.1 million dollars for children in hospitals around the world.
